“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you -Doesn’t mean you can, should or need to do it alone.”

About Mary Beth King
I am Mary Beth King. And as a psychotherapist, I love what I do.
I am most passionate about empowering people to tap into their own innate and natural ability to heal and grow. My treatment philosophy is nonjudgmental, strength-based, and trauma informed. My therapeutic style is to help individuals find their inner gifts and challenge them in a compassionate and direct way.
I have been in the helping field for over 20 years, with the last 14 years focusing on uncovering the best therapies and techniques to address trauma, anxiety, grief, and depression, as well as addressing performance enhancement. Recently, I have focused on assisting couples with marital difficulty, processing through discord and or divorce. I also believe in post-traumatic growth and expanding from surviving into thriving.
I attained my master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am a licensed as a clinical social worker. Therapies I employ are the Neuro-Experiential model known as Brainspotting, Somatic therapies and focused mindfulness, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and solution focused.
Every individual has their own personal journey that is unique to them, and the foundation of trust, respect, and equality is necessary for individuals to achieve their goals in therapy. I believe as a helping professional it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of that path to wellness.
